Cong. Jeff Flake (R-Arizona) has basically admitted that he is ashamed of supporting conservative causes. Last month, Flake shocked his conservative district constituents by casting an unconscionable vote in support of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. ENDA represents the latest effort by homosexual pressure groups to make incremental gains in eroding the freedom to oppose the homosexual agenda. ENDA rests on the fallacy that one’s chosen sexual habits subject them to “civil rights discrimination” and that legislation is needed to protect them.
More recently, Flake acknowledged that the reason he voted with the leftists in Congress supporting homosexual interest groups. He said that the opposition congressmen were hateful in expressing their opposition to the bill, so he voted with the leftists in support of the controversial bill. Flake may appease some people with that claim, but the Congressional Record provides us with all of the testimony opposing ENDA, which we have reviewed and found impressive on merits.
In reviewing the Congressional Record, the opponents of ENDA deserve credit for contributing reasoned, thoughtful and intelligent remarks. Flake has been known to grasp at straws before, and he is clearly reaching on ENDA in an attempt to justify an unjustifiable vote.
Flake has already angered many Americans with his support of amnesty in the form of guest worker programs. Now he has two major strikes against him – and two formidable opponents in next year’s Republican primary. Arizona State Representative Russell Pearce is exploring a primary challenge to Flake, and many would welcome a change. Pearce would make an excellent replacement for Flake in Congress, and we can count on him to oppose the radical homosexual agenda and consistently oppose bills like ENDA.

Sen. ‘Wide Stance’ Should Switch Parties if He Wants to Stay in the U.S. Senate
Larry Craig won’t leave the U.S. Senate voluntarily, though Republicans want him gone in the worst way. The best way for “Wide Stance” Craig to keep his seat is to switch over to the Democratic Party. The Dems will welcome him with arms open wide and will reject any calls for his resignation. No scandal is too much for Democrats to bear. Chris Matthews and the rest of the Democratic Party ultra-left media will defend his “right” to stay in the Senate if he Benedict Arnolds the GOP. It’s a no-lose “proposition” for the Craigster and the Democrats, who would pick up a cheap Senate seat. This will be followed next year by a decision to include a plank in the Democrat’s national platform to bar discrimination against any Democrat with a wide stance.

Dr. Dobson Holds to Values, Hannity Sways
On Friday afternoon, Sean Hannity interviewed Dr. James Dobson about last Saturday’s pro-family coalition meeting in Salt Lake City, as reported by Dr. D in the New York Times. The coalition came to near-unanimous agreement on its commitment to supporting only the presidential candidates who represent their values.
Hannity wrangled with Dr. Dobson on the issue of Rudy Giuliani. Dobson expressed opposition to Giuliani over his adultery and support of partial-birth abortion. Hannity defended Giuliani for perceived moral leadership on cleaning up New York City during his time as mayor.
At one point, Dr. D asked Sean at what point would he abandon his own personal convictions and hold his nose while voting for a candidate.
This is not the first time that Hannity has compromised his conservative beliefs. He also supported liberal Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger in his first candidacy for governor in California three years ago. Hannity got sucked in by the “he can win” tidal wave that swamped some unprincipled conservatives. California voters had their choice of a solid conservative in that race with Tom McClintock. Polls said McClintock could have won that election. Nevertheless, Hannity sold out the conservative movement in support of Schwarzenegger. He joined the ranks of neocons and RINOs in doing so.
Later in the conversation, the topic switched to Fred Thompson. At this stage, Dobson cannot support Thompson, he said, due to a lack of support for a federal marriage amendment. Focus on the Family never apologized to Thompson, as the candidate stated. Dobson said he has not questioned Thompson’s Christian faith, as the media misreported. He said the media took his comments out of context, much like what is being done now with Rush Limbaugh.
Dobson said Mitt Romney and other candidates are still on the list of vote-worthy candidates. Voting conviction is more important than winning, he said.
Hannity took exception to what he perceived as Dobson’s view that he is political expedient in sticking up for candidates who don’t share his own views. “Any of the top three candidates is infinitely better than Hillary Clinton,” Hannity said. “This is about right and wrong, as it always is.” He believes that support for a third party candidate is a half-vote for Mrs. Bill Clinton.
Dobson said the choices put him and many others in a precarious position because leading GOP candidates are “flawed.” He is holding out hope that more conservative candidates will emerge in the campaign. Dobson recalled not voting for either candidate in the 1996 race because neither supported the sanctity of life.
Following the end of the interview, Hannity boasted of standing up for his values and views … right after he hedged on supporting people who do not support his values while talking with Dr. D.

10-1 Odds on Rush
Emboldened by chopping down the likes of congressmen Tom DeLay and J.D. Hayworth and Senator George Allen, sans the GOP majority in Congress, salivating Democrats are getting greedy thinking they can take down Rush Limbaugh. I'm laying odds of 10-1 that Rush kicks their booties. But they're playing with fire in launching an attack they can't win.
Rushdus Magnus will be telling it like it is long after Dirty Harry -- yes, we're dropping the gloves and the nice nicknames like Dinghy Harry -- has flailed and failed to try to play the role of Senate Majority leader.
These Democrats have trumped up a phony charge against Rush and they are dripping with intellectual dishonesty. The American people have been seeing right through these flimsycrats, whose approval rating is microscopic. Not saying they are lowdown creeps, but Reed, Mrs. Bill Clinton and their ilk have to look up to snakes.
Three cheers for Rush! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray!

Who is John Cox?
"Why does a holocaust denier get coverage but a legitimate candidate for President not?"
That’s the question posed by presidential candidate John Cox. I hadn’t heard much about Mr. Cox, so I checked out his site, John Cox for President. He is rock solid on the conservative scale, especially on the border invasion:
While legal immigration is good for America, illegal immigration hurts our economy and strains our public services. Amnesty is not the answer, nor are "guest workers." We need Citizens who want to become part of our nation, learn English and contribute to the economy. I will crack down on businesses that hire - and exploit - illegal labor. We must protect our borders and enforce our laws.
The ultra left media has a flawed agenda. Iranian madmen should not be given national stages. Good men like John Cox should be given an audience. It’s no wonder America is drowning in information and starved for wisdom.
Mr. Cox has just posted a letter to social conservatives. It’s worth a read.
